COLLABORATES WITH PREVIEW CONTEMPORARY ART FAIR
You would hardly link PREVIEW BERLIN with tradition, but it has almost become one to feature young designers through the fair’s T-Shirt. The first aim of this item is to give a special and fresh look to the hard-working fair staff – and at the same time be the surface where an emerging designer presents its work. For this year’s T-Shirt, PREVIEW BERLIN is proud to present “Factoría Rent Me” from Barcelona, Spain. Its founder, Carolina Diez-Cascón (1985), is one of the city’s youngest designers. At her early age she has already worked for Jean Paul Gaultier and in 2006 she received the R+FAD prize. Her artistic background in the video-art scene of her home town influenced her in choosing the label’s name – “Rent Me” stands for the union of video-art with fashion, with a slight hail of criticism towards the big fashion brands and the identities we associate with them: you just need to wear the right brand to rent yourself a new identity. “Factoría Rent Me” was founded in 2008 and pursues to reflect the newest trends and zeitgeist of our present time through emerging art. The collaboration with “Factoría Rent Me” has been supported by SWAB Contemporary Art Fair from Barcelona.
The PREVIEW BERLIN T-Shirt is a limited edition and a piece of art affordable for all fair visitors.
